WRITING A MINI-RESEARCH PAPER

WRITING A MINI-RESEARCH PAPER

By March 2, you will have written a mini-research report of 300-600 words. The paper will be based on the biographical person of your choice. What he/she has discovered, invented, or achieved. You will include the courageous actions or decisions made by this person to accomplish such importance.
The countdown begins TODAY! Therefore, make sure you understand and can answer the following questions before you leave class today:

• When is the paper due?
• What is the purpose of the paper?
• How long should the paper be?
• How many sources will be required?
• Is a bibliography required?
• Does the paper have to be typed?
• Must I hand in my notes?
• Must I hand in my outline?
• Must I hand in my rough draft?
• Must I edit, revise, and proofread with an adult
who will have an editing/proofreading guide before
I write a final copy?
• May the paper be

longer than the stated length?
• Is there a penalty for a late paper?

YOU WILL RECEIVE A HOMEWORK “A” IF YOU GET A PARENT’S SIGNATURE, BY THE NEXT DAY I SEE YOU, NAMELY TOMORROW OR THE FOLLOWING DAY, FOR HIS OR HER AWARENESS OF THIS ASSIGNMENT AND THE DUE DATE.
